Flanges

Flanges are critical components used in piping systems to connect pipes, valves, pumps, and other equipment. They provide a reliable method for assembling and disassembling pipe sections, allowing for easier maintenance, inspection, and modification of the system. Flanges are typically secured using bolts and sealed with gaskets to prevent leakage under high-pressure or high-temperature conditions.

Available in various types such as weld neck, slip-on, blind, socket weld, threaded, and lap joint, flanges are manufactured according to international standards like ASME, ANSI, DIN, and EN. Materials used include stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, and other corrosion-resistant alloys to meet the demands of industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, and water treatment. Their strength, versatility, and ease of installation make flanges a fundamental part of modern piping systems.

Socket Weld Flange

Socket Weld Flanges are commonly used in small-bore piping systems that require high-pressure performance. These flanges feature a recessed area where the pipe is inserted before being fillet welded around the hub. This design provides excellent structural strength and leakage prevention, making socket weld flanges suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure applications.

Typically manufactured from stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, and other corrosion-resistant alloys, socket weld flanges are widely used in chemical processing, power generation, oil & gas, and petrochemical industries. Their compact structure and internal welding design allow for smoother flow transitions and reduced turbulence within the pipeline, enhancing system efficiency and reliability.

Slip On Flange

Slip-On Flanges are designed to slide over the pipe and then welded both inside and outside to provide strength and prevent leakage. Known for their ease of installation and alignment, slip-on flanges are commonly used in low-pressure applications where frequent disassembly is required.

Typically manufactured from carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel, slip-on flanges conform to standards such as ASME B16.5. They are widely utilized in water treatment, petrochemical, and HVAC industries due to their cost-effectiveness and versatility in various piping systems.

Blind Flange

Blind Flanges are solid, disk-shaped components used to close off the ends of piping systems, valves, or equipment openings. They provide a reliable seal to stop the flow of fluids or gases, making them essential for maintenance, testing, or system isolation without disrupting the rest of the pipeline.

Manufactured from materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel, blind flanges conform to standards like ASME B16.5 and API. They are commonly used in industries including oil and gas, petrochemical, water treatment, and power generation, where secure closure and pressure containment are critical.

Welding Neck Flange

Welding Neck Flanges, also known as weld neck flanges, are high-strength flanges designed for high-pressure and high-temperature applications. They feature a long tapered hub that gradually transitions to the wall thickness of the connected pipe, providing excellent stress distribution and reducing the risk of fatigue failure at the weld joint.

These flanges are typically used in critical piping systems within industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, and offshore drilling. Made from materials like carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, and duplex steel, welding neck flanges conform to standards like ASME B16.5 and are ideal for severe service conditions requiring superior mechanical strength and leak-proof connections.
